MHT CET Application Form 2026- Registration Dates, Fees, Process

The MHT CET 2026 application form has started today. This is an important update for students planning higher studies. The exam opens doors to top colleges in Maharashtra. Admissions are offered for engineering, pharmacy, and BTech courses.

If you have passed Class 12, you can apply now. Appearing students are also eligible. So you should not delay the process. Fill out the form carefully. Small mistakes can cause problems later.

MHT CET 2026 Registration Dates

Registration starts on January 1, 2026. The process begins on the official website cetcell.mahacet.org. You should apply early to avoid last minute issues.

The last date to apply without a late fee falls in February 2026. Applications are still accepted till the end of February. A late fee is charged during this extended period.

Admit cards will be released in March 2026. Students should download them as soon as they are available. The exam schedule is already fixed. The PCM group exam will be held from April 11 to April 19.
The PCB group exam will take place from April 21 to April 26. These dates are for Session 1.

Eligibility Criteria for MHT CET 2026

Indian citizenship is mandatory for all candidates. This rule applies to everyone. There is no upper age limit for the exam.

You must meet the academic criteria. General category candidates need at least 45 percent marks in Class 12. Physics and Chemistry are compulsory subjects. You must choose either Mathematics or Biology. Reserved category candidates need 40 percent marks.

Maharashtra domicile holders receive preference. This benefit applies under Type A and Type B categories. So local candidates get an advantage during admission.

Domicile Rules Explained

Type A: You must have passed SSC and HSC exams in Maharashtra or been born in Maharashtra.

Type B: Your parents must be Maharashtra domicile holders.

BSc or Diploma holders can also apply for engineering courses.

How to fill out the MHT CET 2026 application form step-by-step.

First go to the official website cetcell.mahacet.org and click on “New Registration”.

Step 1: Basic Registration

Enter your name, father’s name, date of birth, email and mobile number. Verify the OTP and save your application number.

Step 2: Fill in Personal Details

Enter your gender, category, religion, income, address and SSC/HSC details.

Step 3: Select Exam and Choose Center

Select PCM or PCB and choose your preferred city.

Step 4: Upload Documents

Upload your photograph (passport size, 15-30KB JPG), signature (10-20KB) and left thumb impression. Aadhaar/APAAR ID is now mandatory.

Step 5: Pay Fees

Make the payment online using net banking/card. Take a printout of the form.

This process takes 30-45 minutes. Name/Date of Birth cannot be changed after submission.
